Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day operations, including some scheduling, routing, and dispatching.
  • Ensure all products and inventory are stocked, organized, and available before they are needed.
  • Enforce and improve systems and processes.
  • Ensure the shop/yard is clean and organized at all times.
  • Hire (interview) and fire techs and CL, and administer disciplinary actions.
  • Manage tools and equipment - quickly repaired, available, fully stocked, and organized.
  • Manage and improve daily efficiency - increase billable time, minimize unbillable time.
  • Resolve damage cases, service concerns, and complaints.
  • Be responsible for quality control and overall client property appearance.
  • Perform some project management on job sites.
  • Pursue the consistent growth of the company.
  • Work closely with the owner and upper management team.
  • Assist the team in preparing estimates and proposals.
  • Scope of position is approximately 80/20 (office time/field or job site time).
  • Harness the power of cutting-edge technology to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.
  • Spearhead continuous improvement initiatives to optimize company processes and elevate performance to new heights.
  • Enforce the overall safety of our team and other assets.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance business performance and profitability.
  • Lead and mentor team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
  • Supervise staff, providing guidance and support to achieve organizational goals.
  • Have strong communication and transparency with the owner.

Required Education & Experience:

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent or significant experience in a similar position.
Proven skills and track record of 5 years of management in a similar industry.
Background in supervising teams and business development.
Excellent computer skills.
Valid DL with trailering experience.
Engaging and charismatic personality with an innate ability to inspire and motivate others.
Be a problem solver with close attention to detail and strong communication skills.
Have the capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment.

Additional Desired Experience & Education (not required)

Landscape construction experience.
Plant identification skills.
Degree, licensing, and/or certification in business and/or landscape industry.
Operate all sizes of power equipment (from lawn mowers to mini excavators, front loaders, or skid steers).
Ability to work outside in all weather conditions.
Oregon Commercial Pesticide Applicator's License (Turf & Ornamental).
Ability to lift 70 pounds and be physically fit.

Background checks and drug screenings may be required before job offer.

Average 45 hours per week.
