Responsibilities
- Assist with landscape installation, including planting trees, shrubs, flowers, and installing hardscape features such as patios or walkways
- Perform lawn care tasks such as mowing, edging, fertilizing, aerating, and watering to keep outdoor spaces healthy and vibrant
- Maintain landscape features through pruning, tree trimming, hedge shaping, and irrigation system adjustments
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely for tasks like digging, planting, or installing landscape elements
- Support snow plowing operations during winter months to ensure safe access for clients and visitors
- Conduct routine landscape maintenance to uphold the aesthetic appeal of properties
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of construction or landscaping projects while adhering to safety protocols
Qualifications
- Basic mechanical knowledge and familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in landscaping and construction
- Experience in lawn care, gardening, or landscape maintenance is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated learners
- Knowledge of horticulture principles and plant care techniques is a plus
- Ability to operate equipment such as excavators or other landscaping machinery is advantageous
- Strong work ethic with the ability to follow instructions carefully and work safely in outdoor environments
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor including lifting, bending, digging, and standing for extended periods
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward learning new skills in landscaping and construction
