What are the responsibilities and job description for the Landscaping Maintenance position at Greenscape of Davison?
We are a local, family-oriented lawn care and landscaping business looking for a reliable, detail-oriented crew member to help maintain beautiful residential properties. Most of your day will involve mowing and trimming, with additional basic landscaping tasks. If you take pride in your work, pay close attention to the little things, and enjoy being outdoors, this could be a great opportunity for you. The right person can start part-time and potentially move into full-time as the business grows.
Key Responsibilities
Mow lawns and perform trimming/edging using push mowers, riding mowers, string trimmers, and blowers
Clean up and edge around flower beds, sidewalks, and driveways
Spread mulch, clean out flower beds, and handle basic landscaping tasks
Remove debris, weeds, and leaves to keep properties looking neat and professional
Operate and perform basic maintenance on lawn equipment
Work efficiently while maintaining a high standard of quality on every job
Follow safety procedures and represent our business with a positive attitude
What We're Looking For
Strong attention to detail – This is the most important quality we hire for. We want every yard to look sharp and consistent.
Basic understanding of lawn equipment (mowers, trimmers, blowers, etc.) and how to use them safely
Ability to be on your feet and work outdoors in all types of weather for the entire shift
Reliable transportation to our shop in the Davison area. (Occasionally meeting at job site)
Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to work well with a small team
Previous lawn care or landscaping experience is helpful but not required – we will train the right person
Schedule & Details
Seasonal position: Typically April/May through October/November (weather dependent)
Part-time hours to start (20–30 hours per week), with opportunity to increase to full-time
Typical start time is 7am. However, some early morning starts are common during peak season
The day is finished when the work is completed. My days end around 3pm-5pm. However, there are circumstances that require longer work days.
Must be available weekdays & Saturdays (Saturdays are for busy periods)
