What are the responsibilities and job description for the Regional Business Development Manager (Sales) position at Greenscape Land Design, Inc.?
REGIONAL SALES MANAGER
- Reporting directly to the Regional Manager, responsible for developing, coaching, motivating and holding accountable a dynamic sales team with members in the Northeast area while building a new business pipeline and working closely with our Sales Team to ensure customer satisfaction and business success.
ESSENTIAL ELEMENTS
- Provide (hire, train and develop) leadership to existing Business Developers
- Work with Regional Manager and Branch Management to define ideal client, and targeted opportunities within each market
- Understand individual branch goals and needs for new sales
- Partner with VP of Maintenance/Regional Manager on marketing efforts and outreach strategies
- Manage and maintain a marketing/networking budget for client engagement activities, trade shows, networking events
- Meet regularly with VP/Regional Manager on progress, metrics, sales, and strategy.
- Generate new leads for landscape maintenance and snow management, ultimately generating them into winning proposals
- Oversee the sales process with prospective clients while developing new sales strategies
- Assist team members with articulation and relaying the benefit/value of prospective work to potential clients
- Parter with VP/Regional Manager on sales and pricing strategy while conducting job cost analysis
- Evaluate new requests for proposals to facilitate the best opportunities are being worked upon
- Use BOSS CRM and to create automated reporting, customer communications, estimate approvals and delivery
- Track monthly lead, proposal, and win / loss activity through Boss Sales Dashboard
- Set monthly BD goals for Leads generation, Proposal volume and close rates
- Keep up to date with economy/market to ensure accurate and competitive pricing
- Establish and achieve sales targets aligned with business objectives
- Communicate with Senior Leaders on goals and progress
- Cultivate lasting relationships with prospective clients and members in the industry
- Obtain memberships to industry-focused groups (BOMA, MALP, etc.)
- Weekly visits to both branches within selling territory
SECONDARY ELEMENTS
- Perform other related duties as assigned or as required
REQUIREMENTS
- Management experience
- 10 years professional sales experience; in landscaping or a similar industry preferred.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven skills in selling and managing landscape services; preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills and relationship building capability.
- Self-directed, high-energy, and objective.
- Work requires continual attention to detail, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.
- Proficiency of computers and in the Microsoft Suite required
- Ability to travel via car and plane up to 40% of scheduled time, to responsible regions
