HR Generalist – Greenscape, Inc.
Position Summary
The HR Generalist plays a critical role in supporting the people strategy across multiple branches by driving consistency in onboarding, compliance, employee experience, and workforce programs. This role acts as the bridge between field operations and leadership, ensuring all employees are set up for success while aligning with Greenscape’s CLEATS values (Communication, Learning, Appreciation, Teamwork, Safety).
This position is hands-on and operational, with a strong focus on onboarding execution, HR systems, H2B workforce coordination, and supporting a rapidly growing, multi-branch organization.
Key Responsibilities
1. Onboarding & Employee Experience
- Lead and execute end-to-end onboarding for all new hires (field and leadership)
- Facilitate Day 1 orientation, including:
- HR policies and expectations
- Systems setup (BambooHR, Greenius)
- Training assignments and branch introductions
- Coordinate structured onboarding schedules (Day 1–Day 5 and 30–60–90 day plans)
- Ensure completion and tracking of onboarding checklists
- Conduct 30-day and 60-day follow-ups to assess integration and engagement
2. HR Systems & Data Management
- Maintain and manage employee data in BambooHR
- Administer training compliance through Greenius
- Process:
- New hires, terminations, and status changes
- Offer letters and documentation
- Generate and analyze reports:
- Headcount
- Training completion
- Onboarding progress
- Support M&A employee data integration and system setup
3. H-2B Workforce Program Management
- Coordinate full lifecycle of the H-2B visa program, including:
- Pre-arrival planning and documentation
- Arrival coordination and onboarding
- Track:
- Visa timelines
- Work authorization dates
- Wage compliance
- Partner with operations and external vendors to ensure Day 1 readiness
- Ensure compliance with all federal labor and immigration regulations
4. Payroll & Employee Support
- Support payroll coordination and issue resolution
- Assist with:
- Pay adjustments
- PTO tracking
- Employee questions and concerns
- Ensure proper handling of pay methods (including paycards when applicable)
- Act as a first point of contact for employee HR needs
5. Recruiting & Culture Alignment
- Assist in recruiting process:
- Scheduling interviews
- Candidate communication
- Offer coordination
- Reinforce culture through:
- CLEATS values integration
- Onboarding messaging and experience
- Support initiatives that improve retention and engagement
6. Compliance & Policy Administration
- Ensure compliance with:
- Federal, state, and local employment laws
- Company policies and procedures
- Maintain accurate employee records and documentation
- Support audits and reporting requirements
7. Field & Branch Support
- Partner with Branch Managers and Operations Leaders to:
- Ensure consistency in HR execution across locations
- Address employee relations concerns early
- Travel to branches as needed to support onboarding and training
- Help drive accountability around:
- Training completion
- Onboarding quality
- Employee engagement
Success Metrics (What Good Looks Like)
- 100% completion of onboarding within first week
- Training compliance at or above target (Greenius)
- Zero delays in employee setup (payroll, systems, documentation)
- Strong 30/60-day retention rates
- Positive feedback from new hires and branch leadership
- H-2B workforce fully compliant and onboarded on time
Qualifications
- 2–5 years of HR experience (HR Generalist or similar role)
- Experience in multi-location or field-based environments preferred
- Familiarity with HRIS systems (BambooHR preferred)
- Experience with H-2B or seasonal workforce programs strongly preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
