Middle School/Secondary English Job Description: The teacher should know of pedagogy including the principles, theories, methods, techniques, and strategies of middle school/secondary level English. The candidate should be able to plan, organize, develop, and conduct a comprehensive teaching and instruction English program. The candidate should provide appropriate and effective learning experiences for students with a variety of learning needs, differentiate for student’s cognitive abilities, and effectively assess Language Arts/English content aligned with state standards. The candidate should be passionate, consistent with classroom expectations, provide academic rigor, provide a motivating and stimulating learning environment for all students, and be a steward in the Catholic faith. We are looking for an individual who fosters collaboration, seeks professional development, works with the English team, and continuously grows and reflects on their profession and instructional practices.
