The Assistant Controller is a full-time, on-site role based in Greensboro, NC. In this position, you will manage and maintain accurate financial records, oversee budgeting and forecasting processes, and ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations. You will work closely with the Finance team to prepare monthly and annual financial statements, manage audits, and support financial strategies. Additional responsibilities include supervising accounts payable and receivable processes, analyzing financial data, and supporting the continuous improvement of accounting systems and processes.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
- Experience with accounting principles, practices, and compliance with financial regulations
- Proficiency in using accounting software and financial management tools
- Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving, and attention to detail
- Leadership, communication, and team collaboration skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet strict deadlines
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA certification, preferred)
- Experience working in the nonprofit sector or a similar field is a plus
