Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Classroom Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for students, fostering their academic, social, and emotional growth. This role requires a commitment to early intervention strategies and an understanding of childhood development principles to effectively support diverse learning needs.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree
- Preferred- Experience or specialized training in subject area assigned
- Preferred- Prior teaching experience
- Preferred- North Carolina teaching license, or be in the process of obtaining
- Must be authorized to work in the US (we do not sponsor employment authorization)
Skills, Duties, and Responsibilities:
- Knows and understands NC State Standard Course of Study to develop proficient and effective lesson plans for grade level/subject areas.
- Demonstrates technology/instructional media competency to enhance learning
- Establishes a safe and orderly environment and a culture to empower students
- Manages various classroom behaviors and try to minimize disruptions to learning
- Demonstrates and encourages behaviors from the GIA character program implemented schoolwide
- Participates in meetings and professional development events
- Works collaboratively with school personnel to create a professional learning community
- Collaborates with colleagues to mentor and support teachers to improve the effectiveness of department or grade level
- Open to constructive feedback from lead teachers, coaches, and administrators
- Prepares and submits lesson plans to complete learning objectives
- Develops goals and strategies in an attempt to ensure all students reach academic growth goals
- Ability to differentiate instruction according to student's needs
- Appreciates differences and values contributions of each student by building positive, appropriate relationships
- Regularly assesses students, both formative and summative.
- Submits progress reports and quarterly grades timely
- Communicates with families to ensure parents and guardians are aware of student progress or struggles
- Works and meets with parents and guardians to promote positive behavioral support and a respectful, yet nurturing learning environment
- Other duties assigned by the Assistant Principal and Principal
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $46,818.58 - $56,383.67 per year
