Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled State certified Firefighters to join our emergency response team. The Firefighter will be responsible for protecting lives, property, and the environment by responding swiftly to fire emergencies, accidents, and other incidents. This role requires a commitment to safety, excellent physical fitness, and the ability to work effectively under pressure. Candidates with EMR experience, first aid certification, and basic life support skills are highly preferred. Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to fire alarms, accidents, and emergency calls to provide immediate assistance.
- Operate firefighting equipment and tools effectively during emergency situations.
- Conduct rescue operations, including extrication of trapped individuals from vehicles or structures.
- Administer first aid, CPR, and basic life support as needed to stabilize patients until further medical help arrives.
- Perform routine inspections of firefighting equipment and maintain readiness for emergency deployment.
- Participate in training exercises and drills to stay current with firefighting techniques and safety protocols.
- Assist in community outreach programs focused on fire prevention and safety education.
- Maintain clear documentation of incidents and actions taken during emergencies.
Skills
- Proven EMR experience with certification required; additional certifications such as first aid, CPR, and basic life support are highly desirable.
- Knowledge of firefighting techniques, equipment operation, and rescue procedures.
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and operate various firefighting tools and vehicles.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks in challenging environments.
- Strong understanding of vital signs assessment and patient care basics.
- Valid Class F driving license is a plus for operating fire trucks or specialized vehicles, but can also be obtained after being hired.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and providing clear instructions during emergencies.
