Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Diner Chef to join our small-town diner team. This role requires versatility, teamwork, and a strong work ethic.
Duties
- Prepare and cook breakfast, lunch, and dinner menu items according to diner recipes and standards
- Operate grill, fryer, and prep stations efficiently during peak service hours
- Maintain food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards at all times
- Assist with food prep, portioning, and inventory as needed
- Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff to ensure timely and accurate orders
Experience
- Previous cooking or line cook experience preferred
- Knowledge of food safety and kitchen sanitation practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 lbs
- SERVSAFE certification preferred, or willing to take provided SERVSAFE courses.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $11.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 45 per week
