Plans, organizes and supervises in accordance with all current applicable federal, state, and local standards that govern food services and nursing facilities, and as directed by the Administrator and/or Dietician.Qualifications: If you meet the below – please apply!High school diploma or equivalentCompletion of accredited course in dietetic training approved by the American Dietetic AssociationCertified Dietary Manager (CDM) certificateMinimum of five (5) years’ experience in kitchen, supervisory position, preferably in a hospital, nursing or other related medical facilityProven experience managing a budget and controlling food costsAbility to lead by example and treat everyone at work kindly and professionallyResponsibilities:Plan, develop, organize, evaluate and direct the Food Services Department reputation, programs and activitiesHire, train and supervise staff in a kind, collaborative manner in accordance with company culturePartner with Dietician to ensure residents’ diets and nutritional needs are metCoordinate food services and activities with other related departments as neededEnsure that menus are maintained and filed in accordance with established policiesMonitors staff to confirm they adhere to all sanitation, safety and procedural guidelines within the departmentParticipates in facility’s surveys and inspections, developing a plan of correction if /when deficiencies are notedAssists in developing and maintaining written food services policies and proceduresInspects special diet trays to confirm patients/residents receiving the correct foodEnsures all meals are served on time; including snacksEnsures food quality and that kitchen areas and equipment are clean and operableManages food storage rooms, utility/janitorial closets for regulatory complianceEnsures charted dietary progress notes are informative and descriptive of meals providedAttends meetings and serves on committee’s as needed or assignedProvides reports on department status and/or for dietary programs when requestedAdheres to all dietary policies and procedures of the facilityMaintains confidentiality of all pertinent resident care informationBenefits:Competitive payHealth Benefits – Medical, dental, and vision coverages with company paying majority of costs for Medical HMO (with buy up plan options available)401(k) with company match (company match begins after 1 year of service)Company paid Life and disability insurancePaid Time Off (Vacation, Sick, Holiday)Employee Assistance programIdentity Theft and Travel insurance protectionsBene-Hub employee sponsored discount programs and more….We are proud to be an equal opportunity employer.*Benefits available to full-time employees.We are an assisted living and skilled nursing facility committed to serving others, nurturing life, and promoting an individual’s ability to thrive.
