Shipping & Receiving Coordinator
Summary
The Shipping /Receiving Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day functions of the Shipping Department which includes building loads, scheduling trucks ((both internal and external), printing and completing required documents, and other shipping related tasks.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Organize incoming orders.
- Schedule orders on company trucks or build loads to outsource.
- Update the truck schedule for loads coming and going between locations.
- Plan loads to meet production schedule and customer delivery requirements.
- Print Bills of Lading and complete appropriately
- Print Mill Test Reports and attach to Bills of Lading for orders that require them.
- Answer shipping and scheduling questions of all internal and external customers.
- JK pallet and BGR Invoices
- Toll Logistics
- Scrap Loads – Arranging trucks with franklin Iron
- Customer service/ Problem solving
- Work well in a team environment, as well as independently.
- Must exhibit diligence and accuracy.
- Ability to develop proficiency in ERP inventory system; experience with production or ERP / Inventory systems necessary.
- Immediate skill level preferred for Windows applications including Word and Excel
- Excellent organization skills
- Effective communication skills; verbal, written, and listening skills.
- Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
- Multi-tasking, problem solving, and time management are all desirable skills.
