About the Role

We are hiring a dependable full-time Night Custodian for a permanent assignment at a private high school facility. This is not a rotating or temporary position. The selected candidate will be assigned to one school location and will play an important role in keeping the campus clean, safe, and welcoming for students, faculty, staff, and visitors.

This position is ideal for someone who is reliable, professional, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in an active school environment.

What You’ll Do

• Clean and disinfect classrooms, offices, hallways, restrooms, common areas, and other school spaces
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain hard-surface and carpeted floors
• Empty trash and recycling and manage waste removal throughout the facility
• Restock restroom supplies, including soap, paper products, and sanitizer
• Dust, wipe, and sanitize high-touch surfaces
• Operate standard custodial and floor-care equipment as needed
• Follow all safety, PPE, and chemical-handling procedures
• Report maintenance concerns, safety issues, or supply needs to the site supervisor
• Maintain a professional and respectful demeanor while working around school staff, students, and visitors

What You Bring

• Must speak and understand English and spanish
• Prior custodial, janitorial, school, or commercial cleaning experience preferred
• Reliability, punctuality, and strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions
• Professional conduct in a school environment
• Authorization to work in the U.S.
• Must be able to complete and pass required background screening and fingerprinting

Physical Requirements

• Able to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift throughout the shift
• Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Able to safely operate cleaning tools and custodial equipment

Schedule & Location

Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday
Hours: 2:00 PM–10:00 PM
Location: Permanent assignment at a private high school facility in Nassau County, NY
