What are the responsibilities and job description for the Software Engineer, Product position at Greenlite AI?
About Greenlite AI
Greenlite AI is the leading AI agent platform for financial services. Companies like Mercury, Gusto and multiple U.S. banks trust us to automate mission critical work, starting with anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism investigations.
We’ve raised over $20M from Greylock, Y Combinator, Thomson Reuters Ventures and other top tier investors. We’re based in downtown San Francisco and our team comes from world-class organizations like SpaceX, Google, Netflix, Stripe, Plaid and more.
The Role
We're hiring Product Engineers who excel at turning complex customer problems into elegant technical solutions. You'll own substantial features from conception to production, working directly with customers to understand their needs, designing scalable architectures, and shipping code that measurably improves compliance operations.
This role combines deep technical work with high customer impact. You'll build systems that process thousands of cases, save compliance teams significant time, and directly contribute to company revenue.
What You’ll Build
Customer-Facing Products
What We’re Looking For
We work with modern web technologies—TypeScript, Python, Node.js, React, cloud infrastructure, and workflow orchestration frameworks. You don't need to know our exact stack, but you should be comfortable learning new technologies quickly.
Why You’ll Love Working Here
You're motivated by joining a startup at our stage because you want to build something fast and have direct impact—not because you need extensive structure. You're energized by combining technical work with customer interaction. You love solving open-ended problems, asking good questions, and structuring solutions without needing perfect specifications upfront.
You make pragmatic decisions with incomplete information and proactively pull in the right people to overcome blockers. You're adaptable when priorities shift and have a growth mindset. You understand the broader system you're working in—not just what the AI does, but how it fits into the customer's full workflow.
