Job Overview
The Operations Lead oversees all medicated (cannabis) and non-medicated (brand merch, accessories, etc) inventory at the store level. Physically intaking all products in compliance with DCC regulations. Working closely with delivery drivers, vendors/brand reps, sales staff, and customers.
Responsibilities
- Verifying invoices and METRC manifests against products that are physically delivered.
- Ensure data accuracy, confirming price and quantity on invoice and METRC manifest match. Requesting updated invoices and manifests when necessary.
- Organization of all sellable products and backstock physically and virtually. Assure all METRC tags are attached to all products.
- Processing products for sale by printing package labels or scanning barcodes on individual packages.
- Virtually moving products to a sellable room to make them viewable on the customer facing menu. Ensure product on menu reflects correct information (product name, description, picture, brand, strain, price, amount, etc) make corrections as needed.
- Cannabis waste management, document and destroy all expired or damaged products in accordance with DCC regulations.
- Execute regular inventory audits by completing physical cycle counts and reconciling against your virtual inventory.
- Meticulous organizational skills to reconcile discrepancies and maintain rigorous legal compliance.
Qualifications
- Previous inventory management experience
- Previous Cannabis experience preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computer and data entry skills required
- Software proficiency
- Proficient cash handling skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Responsible and reliable
- Flexible and adaptable
Working conditions
The position is stationed within a retail location, on the sales floor. This position is cross-trained in order to provide coverage at all job posts.
Physical requirements
The ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time, up to 8 hours a day. The ability to routinely bend over and safely lift 30-50 lbs on a regular basis. Ability to complete repetitive reaching, bending, and twisting.
