Own performance, reliability, and security for mission-critical PostgreSQL in a primarily open-source (RHEL) environment—plus exposure to other OSS databases and MS SQL Server.

What you’ll do

·         Install, configure, and maintain PostgreSQL across environments.

·         Monitor health and tune performance / optimize queries.

·         Implement and test backup & recovery; ensure integrity and availability.

·         Partner with dev teams on schemas, indexing, stored routines.

·         Plan upgrades, migrations, capacity; document configurations.

·         Troubleshoot database issues quickly and prevent recurrence.

·         Contribute to security hardening and best practices.

What you’ll bring

·         Proven PostgreSQL DBA experience (architecture & administration).

·         Strong performance tuning & query optimization skills.

·         Hands-on Linux (RHEL) and scripting experience.

·         Solid grasp of backup, recovery, and security best practices.

·         Collaborative communicator; can work independently or with cross-functional teams.

·         Bachelor’s in CS/IT (or equivalent experience).

Nice to have (plus)

·         Exposure to other open-source databases and MS SQL Server.
