Compensation
Our job titles may span more than one career level. The hourly rate for this position is between $29.81 - $38.46. The actual salary offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands and work location. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. What You'll Do
- As a Procurement Specialist, you'll play a key role in supporting construction projects and daily field operations by:
- Creating and processing purchase orders for construction, field operations, and related materials.
- Obtaining vendor quotes and evaluating pricing, availability, lead times, and delivery options.
- Communicating with suppliers to confirm orders, track deliveries, and resolve backorders or shortages.
- Monitoring open purchase orders and helping expedite critical materials when needed.
- Supporting inventory planning by tracking stock levels, usage trends, and supplier lead times.
- Partnering closely with Construction, Field Operations, Warehouse, Logistics, and Accounting teams to ensure material needs are met.
- Maintaining accurate purchasing documentation and procurement records.
- Assisting with invoice, receiving, quantity, pricing, and delivery discrepancies.
- Tracking and managing company inventory across warehouses, staging locations, and third-party storage facilities.
- Researching alternative products and suppliers to support business needs.
- Preparing reports related to purchasing activity, material availability, and supplier performance.
- Identifying and escalating potential material shortages, delivery risks, or supplier concerns before they affect operations.
- Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build productive relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to analyze information, identify potential issues, and take proactive action.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and comfort learning procurement, inventory, and ERP systems.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across departments.
- Professionalism, accountability, integrity, and a customer-service mindset.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, inventory management, logistics, construction support, or a related role.
- Experience in telecommunications, fiber construction, utilities, field operations, or similar industries is a plus.
