What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dermatologist position at Greenlife Healthcare Staffing?
Be the dermatologist an entire region has been waiting for. Monday–Friday, no cosmetic quotas, HRSA loan forgiveness, and medicine that actually matters.
A community health center (FQHC) in Klamath Falls, Oregon is hiring a full-time Dermatologist. Here, patients wait months to see a specialist — and many never do. You would be the reason that changes.
This is medical dermatology at its most useful: the melanoma nobody caught, the psoriasis somebody has lived with for a decade, the child with eczema whose family drove two hours to see you.
Why this role is different
- No cosmetic sales, no RVU treadmill. You practice medicine. Nobody asks you to move product.
- HRSA loan forgiveness — this site qualifies. For a dermatologist carrying training debt, this is real money that never shows up on a salary line.
- Genuine autonomy. You are not the seventh dermatologist in a twelve-provider group. You shape how dermatology is delivered here.
- A schedule you can live inside. Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts scheduled between 7:00 am and 6:00 pm.
- A team-based, mission-driven practice with the rest of the care team in the same building, not across a referral network.
Compensation and benefits
- $350,000–$400,000 base salary (40 hrs/week), plus productivity bonuses
- HRSA loan forgiveness (site qualifies)
- $5,000/year CME allowance
- Health, dental, life insurance and long-term disability
- 401(k) and 457(b) retirement plans
We'll be straight with you: this is a community health center, and the base does not match private cosmetic practice. What it comes with instead is loan forgiveness, a schedule that ends at a reasonable hour, and patients who genuinely need you. If that trade is one you have been looking for, we should talk.
What you'll do
- Provide comprehensive medical dermatology — diagnosis and treatment across the full range of skin, hair, and nail conditions
- Perform skin examinations, biopsies, and minor dermatologic surgical procedures
- Build individualized treatment plans and follow patients over time
- Document in the EMR to clinic standards
- Participate in quality improvement and chart review
- Work alongside primary care colleagues who will lean on your expertise — and refer well
What you need
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Board certified or board eligible in Dermatology
- Active Oregon medical license and DEA — or eligibility and willingness to obtain one (we handle the paperwork with you)
- Current CPR/BLS
Nice to have (not required)
- Prior FQHC, community health center, or underserved-population experience
- Comfort with a broad, unfiltered case mix
- Spanish or a second language
Why Klamath Falls
Southern Oregon at the edge of the Cascades. Crater Lake is an hour away, the fishing and skiing are real, and housing costs a fraction of Portland, Seattle, or anywhere in California — Oregon has no sales tax either. For a physician at this salary, the lifestyle math here beats a much larger number in a metro market. Run it.
