Position Overview:
Greenlife Healthcare Staffing is currently seeking a Dental Office Assistant to fill an opening within a non-profit organization that operates a network of federally qualified health centers focused on ensuring access to healthcare for all. They offer comprehensive services that include Primary Care, Behavioral Health, specialty care, health education, and advocacy.

Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Licensure/Certification: Dental Assistant Certification required.
- Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting preferred; family practice setting is a plus.
- Technical Skills:
- Demonstrated basic computer skills.
- Demonstrated competence in 4-handed dentistry.
- Knowledge of OSHA standards of infection control under CDC guidelines.
- Experience with dental radiograph processing and sterilization procedures.
- Soft Skills:
- Demonstrated communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently.
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Strong customer service orientation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Checks in patients and notifies providers that the patient is present.
- Maintains dental laboratory, processes instruments, and monitors lab cases (check-in of lab cases, pouring impressions where indicated, storing cases, sending out lab cases, completing lab log sheets, etc.)
- Follows weekly and monthly maintenance procedures for all sterilization and radiograph developing equipment.
- Follows OSHA standards of infection control under CDC guidelines endorsed by the department, organization, and overseen by the Infection Control Officer.
- Records patient appointment data daily i.e., no shows, cancellations, emergencies, payment source Medicaid self-pay, etc.
- Takes and processes radiographs as directed by the dentist/ hygienist.
- Place treatment plans, periodontal charts, informed consent forms, referral forms, and contracts for complex treatment into the dental subdivision of the comprehensive medical records.
