What You’ll Be Doing
Culinary Preparation & Execution
- Execute daily prep tasks, following standardized recipes, portioning, and labeling practices.
- Ensure ingredients are cleaned, cut, and prepared to Chef standards for service and events.
- Maintain quality and freshness of all prepared items.
- Support all outlets by prepping ingredients for fine dining, quick service, and banquet production.
- Follow proper food handling, storage, and rotation procedures to ensure safety and quality.
- Assist cooks and chefs during service as needed.
- Communicate product shortages or quality concerns promptly to leadership.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of prep areas, walk-ins, and dry storage.
- Properly label, date, and store all prepped items according to KCC and health code standards.
- Help close and secure the kitchen following checklists and closing duties.
- Follow all KCC and state food safety and sanitation policies.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and responsibly, reporting any maintenance needs immediately.
- Maintain clean and organized prep stations throughout the shift.
- Work closely with cooks, chefs, and service staff to ensure seamless operations across outlets.
- Demonstrate a positive attitude and willingness to learn from peers and leaders.
- Contribute to a supportive, team-focused kitchen culture that embodies the KCC F&B Vision.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of kitchen experience or culinary education preferred.
- Understanding of basic cooking methods and ingredient preparation.
- Food safety certification (ServSafe or equivalent) preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistency.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Able to stand for extended periods (8 hours).
- Able to bend, lift, push, and pull up to 40 lbs.
- Comfortable working in hot, high-energy kitchen environments.
- Repetitive motions such as chopping, mixing, or lifting may be required.
