What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dispatcher position at Greenleaf Environmental Services?
DUTIES
· Serves as the first point of contact for drivers and customers with service issues.
· Handle customer inquiries, service schedules, and changes to routing.
· Respond to telephone calls, emails, and other communications working to resolve issues and/or direct communication to the appropriate driver/route for resolution.
· Effectively schedules daily routes to service requests on urgency and driver availability.
· Keep drivers informed of routing changes and ensure they have the necessary tools and equipment needed for the job.
· Optimize driver routes to minimize travel time and maximize efficiency.
· Re-establishes routes in case of breakdowns, manages unhappy customers and suggests alternate routes due to accidents and road closures.
· Assist customer with route changes, and rescheduling for pickups/missed stops.
· Assist drivers with problems/issues as they arise or at the end of the day.
· Ensures that routes are balanced daily and meet the company standard of a 10-hour workday.
· Manage daily tasks in microsoft teams and assign them as needed.

EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or equivalent. 1-2 years of industry-related experience and/or training in transportation, Logistics, Routing and Customer Service; OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
