Job Description
GreenLancer is seeking a skilled Cloud Engineer to enhance our Azure cloud infrastructure for our next-generation application. This role will be critical in developing infrastructure as code, containerizing applications, and automating deployments. The ideal candidate will implement robust security measures, ensure compliance, and integrate third-party services to create a scalable, efficient, and secure cloud environment. We’re pursuing security audits and certifications for our application and cloud infrastructure; the ideal candidate will have experience with various cloud security audits.
Responsibilities
Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis. We are unable to offer visa sponsorship at this time.

Job Description
GreenLancer is seeking a skilled Cloud Engineer to enhance our Azure cloud infrastructure for our next-generation application. This role will be critical in developing infrastructure as code, containerizing applications, and automating deployments. The ideal candidate will implement robust security measures, ensure compliance, and integrate third-party services to create a scalable, efficient, and secure cloud environment. We’re pursuing security audits and certifications for our application and cloud infrastructure; the ideal candidate will have experience with various cloud security audits.
Responsibilities
- Azure Infrastructure Setup: Create Azure accounts, configure billing, and set up foundational infrastructure with Terraform.
- Identity and Access Management: Configure Entra ID, implement RBAC, and manage secure access control.
- Networking: Set up Azure VPN Gateway, configure virtual networks, and establish secure communication channels.
- Data Management: Implement and manage Azure Key Vault for sensitive data, keys, and certificates.
- Security & Monitoring: Implement multi-factor authentication (MFA), proactive security monitoring, logging, and alerting mechanisms.
- Containerization & Deployment: Containerize .NET applications using Docker, orchestrate with Azure Container Apps, and set up CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions.
- Integration & File Management: Integrate third-party services like Mailgun, Power BI, and HubSpot, and implement secure file management solutions.
- Disaster Recovery: Establish backup solutions and disaster recovery plans to ensure data integrity and availability.
- Documentation & Knowledge Transfer: Provide comprehensive documentation, architecture diagrams, and conduct knowledge transfer sessions.
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (CS), Information Technology (IT), Software Engineering, or Computer Engineering preferred.
- Proven experience with Azure cloud infrastructure, Terraform, and GitHub Actions.
- Expertise in containerization using Docker and orchestration with Azure Container Apps.
- Strong knowledge of security best practices, including MFA, RBAC, and secrets management.
- Experience with networking in Azure, including VPN Gateway setup and virtual network configuration.
- Proficiency in integrating third-party services and implementing secure file management solutions.
- Excellent communication skills and experience in knowledge transfer.
- Comfortable building cloud infrastructure from scratch.
- Experience passing various security audits.
