$15-18/hr (based on shift)

Responsibilities:

• Follow proper procedures for receiving all products including verifying actual product against packing slips, confirming product integrity, and checking product temperatures as needed.
• Responsible for maintaining cleanliness of receiving area including loading dock and all equipment.
• Unload raw materials from truck and move materials to warehouse storage.
• Responsible for quality control by ensuring no damaged raw materials are accepted in.
• Operate machinery including baler, compactor, and forklift, pallet jack; high reach industrial truck within standard operating procedures.
• Perform daily pre-shift inspections all equipment being operated.
• Participate in team based huddles and improvement forums.
• Communicate with operators from other shifts.
• Cross train on other warehouse functions to build team flexibility.
• Provide on-the-job training to new employees.
• Adhere/ follow the food safety programs in the department including GMPs and HACCP plan.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Receivers must have basic math skills and should have strong written and verbal communications skills.
• Receivers should be able to prioritize work, be detail oriented and have the ability to communicate effectively with internal department team members and vendors.
• Must have knowledge of the safety and company procedures for handling the receiving goods.
• Must be dependable and be able to work unsupervised in an efficient manner.
• Must be adaptable and flexible in work schedule.
• Must be well organized and able to multitask and work under tight deadlines.
• Forklift, high lift and pallet jack experience required.
• Prior use of scanners and ERP systems required
