CNC Punch Press Setup OperatorPay Range: $25.00 – $30.00 per hour (based on experience)Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PMEmployment Type: Temp-to-Perm or Direct Hire (for the right candidate)Position Overview:We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Punch Press Setup Operator with hands-on experience setting up and running Amada turret punch presses. The ideal candidate will take full ownership of machine setup, tooling adjustments, and first-piece verification to ensure precision and productivity. This role requires strong mechanical ability, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to maintaining top-tier quality standards.Key Responsibilities:Perform complete setups on Amada turret punch presses, including tooling, alignment, and program loading.Interpret blueprints, work orders, and CAD drawings to ensure all dimensions and tolerances are met.Adjust machine parameters such as feed rates, speeds, and tool paths for each job run.Conduct first-article inspections and verify critical dimensions using calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.Troubleshoot setup or production issues and make necessary corrections quickly and safely.Perform routine maintenance and cleaning to keep machines in optimal condition.Collaborate with programmers, engineers, and production leads to enhance efficiency and minimize downtime.Follow all safety and 5S procedures to maintain a clean and organized work area. Qualifications:3 years of experience setting up and operating Amada or similar turret punch presses.Proven ability to perform independent setups from start to finish.Strong understanding of metal fabrication processes and blueprint reading (GD&T).Skilled in using precision measuring tools for inspection and quality checks.Basic CNC programming or offset adjustment knowledge (G & M code experience a plus).Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and stand for extended periods.Excellent attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and a proactive attitude.
