AI Psychologist / Recruiter

GreenGrowth CPAs
Irvine, CA Temporary
POSTED ON 6/4/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 7/3/2026

Overview

We are looking for an unusual kind of recruiter: someone with a background in psychology, behavioral science, human development, or a related field who is deeply curious about what makes people excellent.

This role combines recruiting, outreach, talent research, psychology, and AI-enabled sourcing. You will help identify, evaluate, and engage high-potential candidates for business development, sales, operations, and other growth-oriented roles.

The ideal person is fascinated by human nature. You notice patterns in people. You think about motivation, personality, ambition, resilience, communication style, learning speed, and character. You are also practical: you can use those insights to find and recruit people who can perform in real-world business roles.

This is not a traditional HR role. It is closer to talent intelligence, recruiting strategy, and applied psychology.

What You’ll Do

You will research and identify candidates for business development, sales, and other key roles.

You will use LinkedIn, databases, AI tools, and other sourcing methods to find people who may be a strong fit.

You will write personalized outreach messages and follow up with candidates.

You will help evaluate candidates based on traits such as curiosity, drive, communication ability, emotional intelligence, grit, learning orientation, and commercial instinct.

You will participate in candidate screens and help assess fit beyond the resume.

You will build repeatable recruiting systems, scorecards, outreach templates, and candidate evaluation processes.

You will use AI tools to improve sourcing, research, messaging, interview prep, and workflow automation.

You will help us better understand what makes someone successful in specific roles and translate those insights into better hiring decisions.

Who You Are

You have a background in psychology, behavioral science, human development, counseling, coaching, recruiting, HR, sales, or a related field.

You are highly curious about people and what drives them.

You enjoy research, pattern recognition, and understanding why certain people succeed in certain environments.

You are comfortable reaching out to strangers and building relationships.

You write clearly and can personalize communication.

You are organized, process-oriented, and comfortable tracking candidate pipelines.

You are interested in AI and already use it, or are excited to use it, to improve your work.

You are not satisfied with surface-level resume screening. You want to understand the person behind the profile.

Nice to Have

Experience with recruiting, sourcing, sales development, business development, executive search, psychology research, coaching, or talent assessment.

Experience using LinkedIn Recruiter, Apollo, Clay, ChatGPT, Perplexity, applicant tracking systems, or similar tools.

Experience building hiring scorecards, candidate rubrics, outreach workflows, or process improvements.

Strong interest in personality, motivation, leadership, organizational psychology, therapy, coaching, or human performance.

What Success Looks Like

You consistently identify candidates others would miss.

You create thoughtful, high-quality outreach that gets responses.

You develop a strong point of view on what traits predict success in different roles.

You help improve the recruiting process so it becomes more systematic, measurable, and scalable.

You use AI to move faster without losing judgment, nuance, or human insight.

You help us make better hiring decisions by combining psychology, data, and practical business judgment.

Application Questions

Please answer the following questions when applying, using the Cover Letter field on our application:

  1. For a Business Development role, please identify 5–7 real or hypothetical candidate profiles you would want to pursue. For each profile, explain why you selected that person, what signals you noticed, and what potential concerns you would want to test for.
  2. What is the most interesting thing you have learned in the last 90 days? Why did it stand out to you?
  3. What is the last book you read, and why did you choose to read it?
  4. How do you currently use AI in your work or personal life? Please be specific about the tools, workflows, or prompts you use.
  5. What process improvements have you been involved with, if any? What was the problem, what did you change, and what was the result?
  6. What are your long-term career goals? What kind of work do you want to become excellent at over the next 3–5 years?
  7. What do you believe are the most important psychological traits or behavioral signals to look for when hiring someone for a sales or business development role? Explain your reasoning.

How to Apply

Please submit your resume, LinkedIn profile, and answers to the application questions above to the application form linked. We care less about traditional credentials and more about curiosity, judgment, communication ability, and your ability to understand people.
