About Us
Greenfish Cafeteria, located in Stanford University's Clark Center, is open to the public and offers a wide variety of cuisines crafted by specialty chefs. Along with daily dining, we provide full-service catering for campus events, conferences, and receptions, serving groups of 20 to 2,000 with exceptional care and hospitality. Our mission is to deliver high-quality, thoughtfully prepared meals that celebrate and reflect the diversity of the Stanford community.
Responsibilities
- Create and execute high-quality dishes within your specialty category
- Develop unique sauces, flavor profiles, and plating styles
- Collaborate with the culinary team to design seasonal or specialty menus
- Maintain excellent kitchen hygiene, organization, and food safety standards
- Train and mentor other cooks on techniques related to your specialty
- Ensure consistent taste, portion, and presentation
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a specialty chef in (e.g., Japanese, Italian, Pastry, Grill, Fusion, etc.)
- Deep understanding of ingredients, flavors, and cooking techniques
- Ability to create your own style, recipes, and signature dishes
- Strong sense of teamwork and communication
- High attention to detail and a passion for innovation
- Food handler certification (preferred)
