Job Purpose:Leverage existing sales tools and strategies to identify and pursue new business opportunities across targeted product lines. Utilize salesmanship and a proactive approach to close opportunities with profitable revenue for the Company. Promote and execute superior customer service to ensure clients consistently have a positive experience.Essential Functions:Identify and pursue new sales leads through outreach via phone, email, and in-person visits.Manage existing customer relationships to protect and grow current business, including executing business reviews and maintaining strong communication.Attend trade shows, demos, and customer meetings to support marketing efforts and expand brand presence.Collaborate closely with the Sales Manager for technical expertise and strategic guidance.Independently create and qualify prospective customers by leveraging professional networks (e.g., LinkedIn) and following up with inbound leads.Successfully close new business opportunities and articulate the value proposition of our solutions to current and prospective customers.Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales activities using our CRM tool (Salesforce) to manage the entire sales process.Provide feedback to leadership on product improvements, innovations, and new sales tools that can enhance efficiency.Assist in developing strategies to grow market share in assigned territories.Participate in industry events, sales meetings, budget planning, and maintain strong communication with the sales coordinator and manager.Qualifications GuidelinesExperience/Training/Education:Required: Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 5 years of sales experience, or 10 years of sales experience without a degree.Desired: Strong understanding of the transportation/logistics industry.Skills & Attributes:Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Self-starter with a proactive and independent approach to sales.Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.Willingness to travel regularly.Capable of working under tight time constraints in a high-volume environment with multiple priorities.Solid knowledge of the industry vertical, including competitive landscape.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:Requires knowledge and understanding of general sales and business development methodologies; basic mechanical understanding; knowledge of contemporary operating concepts; knowledge of industrial construction industry and/or mobile crane market, their structure and trends; Ability to develop solutions to complex, multi-faceted problems. Demonstrates knowledge of office practices, business correspondence techniques and English composition, grammar, spelling and punctuation. Demonstrates knowledge in principles of customer service, public relations and communications, record management and file maintenance. Ability to use E-Mail, Microsoft Office Suite and work effectively in a computer oriented environment. Ability to use tact, speak effectively and deliver presentations to small and large audiences. Requires skills that include tactical vision and creativity; must be able to deal effectively in rapidly changing environments; must have mature judgment, empathy, superior interpersonal, and communication skills. Requires ability to work with a team or independently and accept constructive criticism; maintain confidentiality of data; collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and use judgment for effective decision making. Physical and Environmental Elements:This is primarily an office classification and employees work in an office with moderate noise levels, controlled temperature conditions and no direct exposure to hazardous physical substances. Works frequently offsite in various environments, including warehouses. Significant travel may be required. There is some physical activity of demonstrating the application/removal of our products in the field. Finger dexterity is needed to access, enter and retrieve data using a computer keyboard, typewriter keyboard or calculator and to operate standard office equipment.
