What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dental Hygienist position at Greenfield Dental Associates?
Skilled and experienced Dental hygienist needed for a family focused dental practice. We are looking for an individual who is motivated to make a difference in the lives of the patients they treat. Part time or Full time.

Responsibilities
- Review/assist medical history intake
- Ensure patients feel comfortable before their examination
- Conduct initial mouth screenings and check oral health history
- Identify conditions like gingivitis, caries or periodontitis
- Clean and help protect patients’ teeth (e.g. remove plaque or apply fluoride or sealants)
- Educate patients of all ages on proper hygiene care (by demonstrating, for example, good brushing techniques)
- Take X-rays
- Maintain documentation and charts on each patient
- Sterilize dental instruments
- Monitor supplies
Skills
- Outstanding communication skills
- Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist
- In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations (e.g. HIPAA)
- Experience in preparing and maintaining dental equipment
- Good diagnostic & treatment planning skills to prepare Doctor to see patients and to educate patients on needed therapies
- A patient and friendly personality
- Attention to detail
- Valid license to practice
- Computer skills
Office hours
Monday-Thursday 8am-5pm Friday 8am-12:00 pm
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $52.00 - $57.00 per hour
