Position Objective: Greenfield Contractors is seeking a full-time Business Development Representative to complete a range of business activities while adhering to professional standards. The ideal candidate would have general construction knowledge of metal, fabric and commercial construction. The Business Development Representative will assist sales on building relationships and creating opportunities where others see challenges.
Typical workdays are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., although there may be changes based upon project requirements. The typical work week consists of 40 hours but can flex to 50 hours during busy periods or as the projected schedule dictates. Travel will be required.
Essential Duties
- Attend trade shows and create brand presence.
- Capture competitor revenue and market insights to stay ahead of trends.
- Develop and maintain relationships with customers, community groups and partnering businesses.
- Conduct regular onsite visits and promotional events to attract new business and deepen existing relationships.
- Identify opportunities for growth in new and existing markets.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop target campaigns and materials.
- Coordinate with branch managers, loan officers and marketing personnel to ensure alignment of outreach efforts and product promotions.
- Maintain accurate attendee feedback records from business development activities, including member interactions and proposal outcomes.
- Develop and maintain a strong sales pipeline of projects and service contractors.
- Prepare and deliver presentations, proposals, and bids to prospective clients
- Serve as the primary point of contact for key accounts
- Understand client needs and provide tailored solution in construction, service and maintenance.
- Work closely with construction, engineering, sales and service teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Collaborate with leadership on sales strategies, pricing and revenue goals.
Education/Experience Requirements
- 5 years of sales or business development experience.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Willingness to travel.
- Proven ability to develop accounts and exceed sales targets.
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred.
