What are the responsibilities and job description for the Workforce Development HVAC Training Program Lead Instructor position at Greenfield Community College?
Greenfield Community College's Office of Workforce Development is seeking applicants for a lead instructor for our entry-level HVAC workforce training program. This is a position scheduled from November 1, 2025 - June 5, 2026.
Instructor(s) and staff are expected to provide classroom, practice and/or lab instruction for non-credit HVAC training. Instructor(s) are responsible for instructional preparation, presentation, and evaluation of student performance during classroom and related lab activities. Instructor(s) and staff provide assistance to students for successful completion of the training program. Instructor(s) compile and maintain required student records and ensure that all training and skill activities meet required guidelines. Instructor(s) prepare students for required certification exams and/or industry-recognized credentials, as required.
This grant-funded position facilitates learning for students enrolled in the Entry-Level HVAC Training Program in Workforce Development at Greenfield Community College. The ideal candidate will possess a combination of commitment to effective teaching and continuous improvement and a strong technical background as an HVAC technician. This in-person daytime training program is based at Greenfield Community College and includes preparation for the MA Oil Burner Technician License and the NORA Bronze Certification, OSHA-10, EPA 608, A2L, and NATE Ready-to-Work certifications.
