About the Role
We are seeking a Professional Learning Community (PLC) Lead to guide our collaborative teams in analyzing student data, improving instructional practices, and fostering a culture of continuous growth. The PLC Lead will be responsible for facilitating team meetings, ensuring alignment with school-wide goals, and empowering teachers to take ownership of their professional development. This role will support school leaders in increasing teacher effectiveness and student achievement across the school
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate PLC Meetings: Lead and guide regular PLC meetings for grade-level teams, ensuring they are structured, productive, and focused on key questions related to student learning, data analysis, instructional strategies, and outcomes.
- Data Analysis & Action Planning: Guide teams in the systematic collection and analysis of student performance data to identify trends, diagnose learning gaps, and develop targeted instructional interventions.
- Professional Growth: Model and coach effective instructional strategies, helping teachers implement new techniques and reflect on their practice. Foster a safe environment for open dialogue and shared learning.
- Resource Management: Curate and share relevant resources, research, and best practices to support teacher learning and student success.
- Goal Alignment: Ensure PLC goals and activities are directly aligned with the school's strategic vision and student achievement targets.
- Communication: Serve as the primary liaison between PLC teams and school administration, sharing progress, challenges, and successes.
- Other Duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Certified Greenfield-Central teacher employed at Maxwell Intermediate School as a grade-level classroom teacher, with a minimum education level of a bachelor's degree in education.
- Experience in leading or participating in a successful PLC or collaborative team.
- Demonstrated ability to use data to inform instructional decisions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with colleagues.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
