What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Supervisor position at Greenfiber?
HOURS: Monday - Thursday 6am-4pm and Friday 7-12 noon with possible Saturdays and overtime when needed.

Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Management:
- Oversee maintenance projects, plan and schedule maintenance tasks to ensure timely completion.
- Supervise and train a small team of maintenance technicians, allocate work, and provide support.
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the maintenance department, ensuring equipment is functioning properly and safely.
- Oversee the repair and upkeep of properties and equipment.
Technical Support & Training:
- Organize and lead required maintenance training.
- Conduct safety inspections and address any safety concerns within the maintenance team.
- Implement and manage preventative maintenance program.
- Respond to urgent maintenance issues and coordinate repairs during emergencies.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of all maintenance activities: repairs, parts, and supplies.
Collaboration & Communication:
- Collaborate with other departments to address maintenance needs and effectively communicate issues with management.
- Support management in daily operations.
- Support a work environment with safety as the highest priority.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
- Effectively communicate with maintenance team and facility management.
Perform other related duties that may be assigned or associated with the responsibility of the position.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent problem-solving skills – ability to understand and manage the complexity of the production process and operation.
- Must have skills to troubleshoot electrical, electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical problems at the plant in a highly effective and timely manner.
- Basic mathematical knowledge
- Basic computer skills
- Strong understanding of maintenance programs and systems:
- PLC understanding
- Hydraulic control systems
- Basic and advanced electrical, electronic troubleshooting
- Basic welding/cutting operations
- Basic technical drawing and can read prints
Education & Experience:
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s or degree from a vocational school is a plus.
- 3 years’ experience preferred as maintenance supervisor or similar role.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work 40 hours per week including weekends when necessary.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb stairs and ladders, squatting, kneeling, and extended periods of standing.
Pay: $33.00 - $45.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
