What are the responsibilities and job description for the Parts & Accessories Specialist position at Greeneway RV Sales & Service?
The purpose of this position is to manage and control the parts inventory and related administrative functions to ensure efficient operations and profitability. This includes overseeing purchasing, inventory control, security, pricing, merchandising, and advertising. Ability to sell parts to customers through various channels, including over the counter, in the shop, and via phone, while striving to return a satisfactory profit on dealer capital invested in inventory.
Essential Duties includes the following:
- Assists with answering phones and providing customer service at the front counter and in-store.
- Orders parts for retail, customer pay, and stock repair orders using purchase orders, and manages part returns in a timely manner.
- Receives parts shipments from various carriers, inspects for damage, and verifies correct items against parts tickets.
- Maintains physical inventory, including UPC labeling, bin locations, and bi-weekly inventory management using system reports.
- Keeps retail and parts areas (upstairs and main) well-stocked, organized, clean, and safe.
- Performs pricing functions to ensure proper mark-up and manages clearance sale items.
- Identifies and returns obsolete items, working with suppliers as needed.
- Follows up on customer pay parts for pickup and coordinates return of uncollected parts to suppliers.
- Reviews unused service parts monthly and communicates with Service Advisors.
- Files all paperwork promptly and stays informed on new products/parts from suppliers.
- Attends annual supplier shows and maintains confidentiality of company and customer information.
- Adheres to Uniform Policy and maintains a professional appearance.
Other duties may be assigned as deemed necessary
Physical Requirements:
This job requires individual to walk, stand, bend, stoop, reach and work on computer for extended periods of time. Also must be able to lift 50-70 pounds (generally less but can be more) when assisting customers in the store or receiving or sending parts to customers or suppliers.
