Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Admissions Director to lead our admissions team and drive student recruitment efforts. Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive recruitment strategies to attract prospective students across various channels, including campus visits, digital marketing, and community outreach.
- Lead and supervise the admissions team, providing training, mentorship, and performance evaluations to ensure high levels of motivation and effectiveness.
- Conduct public speaking engagements at educational fairs, community events, and informational sessions to promote the institution’s programs and values.
- Manage the entire admissions cycle using Ellucian or similar student information systems to track applications, communicate with applicants, and maintain accurate records.
- Collaborate with academic departments and university staff to ensure alignment of recruitment efforts with institutional goals.
- Provide expert academic advising to prospective students regarding program options, admission requirements, financial aid opportunities, and campus resources.
- Foster relationships with high schools, community colleges, and other educational organizations to expand outreach networks.
- Analyze enrollment data and market trends to refine recruitment tactics and improve conversion rates.
- Ensure compliance with all institutional policies and accreditation standards related to admissions procedures.
Requirements
- Proven experience working in education administration or university admissions roles with a focus on recruiting and student engagement.
- Strong public speaking skills demonstrated through presentations at events or informational sessions.
- Familiarity with Ellucian or comparable student information systems for managing application processes.
- Background in teaching or academic advising is highly desirable for understanding student needs and guiding applicants effectively.
- Experience working directly with students from diverse backgrounds within higher education settings.
- Knowledge of university operations, academic programs, and enrollment management strategies.
- Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written—to effectively interact with prospective students, families, faculty, and staff.
- Ability to develop targeted outreach initiatives that resonate with specific audiences while maintaining an inclusive approach.
- A bachelor’s degree in education administration, higher education leadership, or a related field; advanced degrees are preferred but not required.
