What are the responsibilities and job description for the Injection Molding Operator - 3rd Shift position at Greene, Tweed?
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Acquires materials, tooling & supplies to set up and adjust equipment & prepare machine for production runs
- Changes molds according to specified procedures and company practices
- Changes nozzles, purges materials, adjusts controls and saves existing parameters as required, to assure products molded meet specifications throughout runs
- Documents and maintains work performance records, production lot numbers and other documentation that may be required
- Performs routine maintenance and cleaning on molding machine and other departmental equipment including oil heaters, dryers, hoppers, annealing ovens and/or x-ray machines
- Follows all safety precautions and rules, including wearing protective equipment, as required
- Trouble shoots and escalates problems to upper management
- Trains and mentors others
Education/Certifications:
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated ability to independently read and interpret production drawings, work instructions, Company documents and other specified requirements essential for performing standard job functions
Skills and Experience:
- 5 years with previous machine operator experience, ideally within injection molding/plastics environment
- Ability to read blueprints
- Technical aptitude
