Special Education Teacher

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team. This role involves working with students who have diverse learning needs, providing individualized instruction and support to help them achieve their educational goals. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of childhood development and be skilled in various teaching methodologies tailored for special education.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for each student, focusing on their unique strengths and challenges.
• Provide instruction in core subjects such as math, language arts, and social skills, using adaptive techniques to meet the needs of each learner.
• Collaborate with parents, specialists, and other educators to create a supportive learning environment.
• Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies as necessary to ensure effective learning outcomes.
• Utilize various teaching methods, including speech therapy techniques and early intervention strategies, to enhance student engagement and comprehension.
• Foster a nurturing classroom atmosphere that encourages social interaction and emotional growth among students.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and communicate regularly with families regarding progress and challenges.

Experience

• A degree in Special Education or a related field is required; certification in special education is preferred. Or willing to obtain degree.
• Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is highly desirable.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $46,500.00 - $77,500.00 per year
