Maintenance Worker

This is a full time position responsible for assisting with routine building maintenance, vehicle maintenance, equipment maintenance and repairs at the Vocational Training Center and at agency community homes throughout Greene County.

Responsibilities include:

Routine maintenance and repair of buildings and equipment, such as opening blocked drains; repairing leaky faucets; replacing bulbs and switches; replacing and repairing screens; broken windows and sash weights; making minor repairs and adjustments to machinery; mixing cement and plaster; and painting buildings, rooms, walls or other surfaces. Person will be assisting with snow removal by shoveling, using forklift, bobcat, and/or other snow removal equipment as required; as well as for mowing, weed eating, and grounds keeping. Person will also be responsible for the maintenance of agency vehicles. Responsible for assistance with purchase orders, collection bids, completing work orders, and completion of all other duties as assigned. The person may also be an emergency back-up van driver to operate agency vehicles and transport individuals to and from the facility. The individual must occasionally be available to provide emergency repairs after regular working hours.

Minimum Qualifications:

Accredited State High School Diploma or GED required.

On-line Diploma must meet the requirements of the PA Department of Education.

Three years of experience in general maintenance work which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades.

Experience required in electrical, hydraulics, and small engine maintenance.

Valid Driver's License and Clean Driving Record.

Must Pass Child Abuse History, FBI, Criminal Record Check Clearances and pre-hire Physical and Mantoux TB test

Pay: From $19.00 per hour
