Job Summary
As a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA), you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care and daily living support to residents on the Golden Years Homestead campus. Youll assist with personal care, mobility, nutritional support, and documentation, all while honoring our residents dignity and promoting a safe, compassionate environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily personal care: bathing, dressing, grooming, oral care, and toileting.
- Document care and changes in residents' condition accurately in electronic health records and flow sheets.
- Provide mobility support: lifting, turning, transporting, and positioning residents.
- Assist during mealtimes, including feeding and recording intake.
- Maintain cleanliness of resident rooms and equipment.
- Respond promptly to call lights and personal alarms.
- Support resident participation in medical appointments, activities, and social programs.
- Provide post-mortem care and support for end-of-life situations.
- Follow infection control, safety, and confidentiality policies at all times.
- Communicate respectfully and clearly with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by nursing leadership.
Qualifications
- Graduate of a state-approved CNA program.
- Current Indiana certification as a Nursing Assistant.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in skilled care or elder residential services is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, perform frequent walking, bending, and assisting residents.
