Summary

GreenBox Logistics is seeking a building Leader of Operations to lead the operational performance of a warehouse in Jackson, GA. This role carries P&L responsibility and oversees Operations Managers and Supervisors managing both conventional and automated warehouse operations. The General Manager will drive operational excellence, financial performance, and continuous improvement while ensuring the highest standards of safety, customer satisfaction, and sustainability.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee operations across the entire warehouse site, ensuring alignment with GreenBox Logistics’ goals and performance metrics. Guide building leaders and their teams to maintain consistent, high-performing operations sitewide.
  • Own financial performance for the site, including budgeting, cost control, and revenue growth. Ensure operational objectives are met within financial targets.
  • Drive best practices in warehousing, logistics, and supply chain management. Lead continuous improvement initiatives for both conventional and automated operations to enhance productivity, quality, and sustainability.
  • Mentor and develop Operations Managers and their direct reports. Foster a high-performance, collaborative culture across all departments.
  • Develop and implement long-term operational strategies to optimize resource allocation and drive building growth. Align building strategies with regional initiatives.
  • Enforce safety regulations and compliance standards across the building teams. Promote a safety-first culture and ensure adherence to environmental regulations.
  • Assist with vendor relationships and procurement processes to secure high-quality, cost-effective services and products.
  • Align and support the adoption of automated systems and warehouse technologies to improve efficiency and reduce costs. Collaborate with IT and engineering teams on process enhancements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers. Ensure top-tier service delivery, proactively address concerns, and develop solutions that align with client expectations.
  • Track operational performance, financial results, and key KPIs. Provide building leadership with data-driven insights to optimize site performance and achieve company objectives.
  • Champion sustainable logistics practices to position GreenBox Logistics as an industry leader in environmentally responsible supply chain solutions.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of operations management experience in logistics, warehousing, or supply chain, with at least 2 years in a senior building leadership role. Proven track record of managing teams and P&L responsibility.
  • Strong ability to lead and inspire teams across multiple departments. Skilled in decision-making and problem-solving.
  • Experience in P&L management, budgeting, forecasting, and optimizing financial performance. Ability to analyze reports and implement corrective actions to drive profitability.
  • Expertise in both conventional and automated warehouse operations. Deep knowledge of WMS, material handling systems, logistics, and inventory management.
  • Project Management: Proven ability to lead complex initiatives, ensuring on-time and within-budget execution. PMP or similar certification is a plus.
  • Experience overseeing warehouse automation and integrating advanced logistics technologies for operational efficiency.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong vendor negotiation and supplier relationship management abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, ERP systems, and WMS software.
  • Passion for sustainability and environmentally responsible logistics practices.
  • Results-driven with a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence.


Physical & Environment Requirements

  • Local position located in Jackson, GA.
  • Travel could be required 10% of the time or less. Employee must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to drive and/or fly to client and other customer locations.
  • The employee is responsible to own a credit card and manage expenses personally to be reimbursed on a bi-weekly basis, if traveling.
  • There will be steep stairs to climb into the structure. You may be required to routinely walk up and down stairs to navigate the automation structure.
  • You will regularly be near railings that are high off the ground
  • Subject to environmental conditions, protection from weather conditions but not necessarily temperature changes. Must be capable of working in temperatures ranging from 105° to 32° Fahrenheit.
  • At times you may be at a construction site with PPE required (hard hat, safety vest, steel toes, eyeglasses, ear protection, fall protection (e.g., safety harness)
  • Frequent ability to safely and efficiently lift items weighing up to 50lbs and move items weighing up to 80lbs.
  • Stand/walk for up to 10-12 hours and is frequently required to walk and reach with hands and arms
  • The employee is routinely required to work at heights of up to 45 feet and within restrictive areas of 24 inches. Where you may need to be able to stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Must be capable of occasional and/or continuous feeling, seeing, hearing, bending, twisting, stooping, pushing, pulling, balancing, gripping, climbing, crawling, sitting, handling objects, and repetitive movement using both hands and feet. Must comply with all safety requirements and protocols, including without limitation Lock out tag out safety protocols and fall protection safety protocols.
