Duties
- Stock and replenish produce displays, ensuring products are fresh, appealing, and properly labeled
- Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts safely to load, unload, and move produce shipments
- Use RF scanners for accurate inventory control and tracking of produce items
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the produce section, including cleaning shelves and packaging areas
- Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, including loading and unloading deliveries with safe lifting practices
- Support inventory management by conducting regular stock counts and reporting discrepancies
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about produce products and offering product knowledge in multiple languages if needed
Requirements
- Previous warehouse experience or retail store experience preferred, especially in grocery or produce departments
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for inventory control and merchandising
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting, manual handling, and standing for extended periods
- Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers
- Basic math skills for inventory counting and transaction processing
- Knowledge of retail sales, merchandising standards, and grocery store operations is advantageous
