Assistant Spiritsmaker/Cellar Person at Greenbar Distillery, Los Angeles, CA
Duties
Responsibilities will cover all areas of production and packaging, as well as general labor in the facility. As a direct report to the Production Director, the Assistant Spiritsmaker will assist or perform, as assigned, in the areas of infusion, fermentation, distillation, re-distillation, bottling, R&D, quality control, lab, inventory management, maintenance and compliance. Additional duties will be assigned to accommodate changing business objectives.
Requirements
- Knowledge of basic math and chemistry, spreadsheets, clean operating practices and some quality control/assurance experience
- Communicate problems and issues effectively in order to keep operations running
- Work in a team environment with a courteous and ambitious attitude
- Be productive while maintaining high quality standards
- Adhere to rules and company policies, especially safety rules
- Adhere to company time and attendance schedules
- Learn new skills and complete training as assigned
The role requires standing, walking, climbing, using hands to finger, handling or feeling, reaching with hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching and listening on a regular basis. The employee must regularly lift and/or move more than 50 pounds. Specific abilities in this job include close distance, color and peripheral vision, as well as depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to a damp environment with hot liquids, airborne particles, chemicals and moving machinery.
Days & Hours
- 4 x 10: Mon -Thurs or Tue-Fri 7:00AM to 5:30PM.
- May change according to business objectives and mandatory overtime may be required.
Pay & Benefits
- Pay is $26 – $30 per hour DOE.
- Benefits include paid time off, subsidized health insurance and life insurance.
- This position is designed as a non-exempt position requiring an individual spends more than 50% of each work week performing the tasks outlined in this job description.

Pay: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour
