Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Facility Manager to oversee the maintenance, operations, and continuous improvement of our facilities. Someone who can lead a team while also actively contributing to daily operations. This individual will play a key leadership role in ensuring our campuses remain safe, functional, and aligned with the Greenacres mission and guest experience. The ideal candidate is hands-on, mechanically inclined, and both a strategic thinker and a doer.
This role requires strong problem-solving skills, initiative, and the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate all day-to-day facility maintenance operations across campus
- Develop, implement, and manage preventative maintenance programs (monthly, quarterly, annually)
- Ensure facilities and equipment are operating efficiently and safely
- Inspect ongoing work to ensure quality standards and compliance with specifications
- Diagnose and perform maintenance repairs ranging from routine to complex across multiple trades
- Supervise and support a facilities team of four, fostering productivity, accountability, and professional growth
- Plan, prioritize and assign work, ensuring timely and high-quality completion
- Promote a collaborative, positive team environment aligned with Greenacres values
- Partner with the Safety Coordinator to ensure compliance with all safety standards and organizational procedures
- Lead emergency response efforts and complete incident reporting as required
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and administrative processes
- Respond to off-hour emergencies as needed
- Manage relationships with external contractors and service providers
- Support and lead facility-related projects, ensuring timelines and budgets are met
- Respond promptly to internal requests and facility needs
- Conduct annua reviews of site and facility need to proactively identify improvements
- Participate in the annual budget planning process for the facilities team
- Proactively gather feedback to improve service and overall campus experience
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Construction Management, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience, including trade school or skilled trades background, strongly considered
- Minimum of 7 years of hands-on facilities or maintenance experience
- Experience supervising staff or leading teams
- Strong knowledge across multiple trades (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC/R etc.)
- Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics
- Familiarity with fire and security systems troubleshooting
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
- Valid driver’s license required
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and respond to unexpected challenges
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
- Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative, service-oriented mindset
- Experience with project management is a plus
- Ability to successfully pass a post-offer pre-employment drug test and fingerprint FBI background screen
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with internal and external partners with the same or diverse backgrounds to ensure all who visit Greenacres get the highest quality experience
