Job SummaryWe are a locally family run company look for an experienced applicator for lawn fertilization, weed, insect, and disease control management. Although we are primarily concerned with lawn treatment, qualified individuals will also have the opportunity to also perform brush control, tree and shrub treatment, as well as mosquito and tick control.We are a small business, so this position will be different from normal service technician jobs. Aside from being an applicator, you will be also be responsible for customer communication, production posting, work scheduling, sales, and equipment management.ResponsibilitiesPerform lawn care service to ensure healthy, attractive turf using Steel Green fertilizing machines.Communicate effectively with customers.Estimates and sales.Post daily production and work scheduling through use of our RealGreen software.Conduct routine inspections of landscapes for pests or disease and implement horticultural best practices for plant care.Drive a cargo van hauling a covered trailer.Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.SkillsLawn care experience is required; preferably 3-4 years as a licensed applicator, but we will consider more novice applicants based on their ability to adapt and learn. A pesticide license for turf will be required. We will train and provide licensing materials for those who don't already possess a license.Knowledge of lawn care techniques including aeration, fertilization, and weed control.The ability to operate our fertilizing and treatment equipment.Ability to eventually work on their own.
