Position Overview:
Fleet Coordinator will be responsible for managing all aspects of fleet operations,
including preventive maintenance, repair coordination, regulatory compliance,
budgeting, and equipment installation. This role requires strong organizational skills,
technical knowledge, and the ability to respond quickly to roadside and operational
challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee day-to-day fleet operations for box & semi trucks and trailers.
Coordinate repairs and maintenance with outside vendors and service providers.
Manage roadside assistance calls and ensure quick, effective solutions.
Ensure all equipment complies with state and federal regulations (DOT, FMCSA, etc.).
Monitor and control fleet-related expenses, prepare budgets, and track costs.
Track and manage all fleet equipment and assets using spreadsheets and transportation management systems (TMS).
Install and manage ELD systems, cameras, and other in-truck equipment.
Maintain accurate fleet records, including inspections, registrations, and service histories.
Develop preventive maintenance schedules and ensure timely execution.
Support drivers and operations staff with equipment-related needs.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in fleet management and truck repairs.
Strong knowledge of DOT, FMCSA and other regulatory requirements.
Technical ability to oversee installation and troubleshooting of ELDs, cameras, and in-truck systems.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Strong organizational and budgeting abilities.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle emergency situations effectively.
Valid Class A CDL
