Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Optometrist role located in Seville, OH. The Optometrist will perform comprehensive eye examinations, including refractions, binocular vision assessments, and ocular health evaluations. Daily responsibilities include diagnosing and managing common ocular conditions, prescribing eyeglasses and contact lenses, and co-managing medical eye issues with other healthcare professionals when appropriate. The role involves documenting findings in patient records, educating patients on treatment options and preventive eye care, and collaborating with support staff to ensure efficient patient flow. The Optometrist will also participate in practice improvement initiatives and may support community outreach or patient education events.

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution and current, or eligibility for, licensure in the state of Ohio.
  • Strong clinical skills in comprehensive eye exams, diagnosis and management of common ocular conditions, and prescription of corrective lenses.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with diverse patients, explain clinical findings, and provide patient-centered education.
  • Attention to detail in charting and documentation, with proficiency in or willingness to learn electronic health record systems.
  • Commitment to ethical practice, continuous learning, and staying current with advances in optometry and ocular health.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a small practice team and contribute to a positive, inclusive, and organized work environment.
  • Experience in a community or private practice setting is beneficial but not required; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
