General Requirements
- Must be able to work in various outdoor conditions, including extreme heat, cold, and rain.
- Able to stand for extended periods and walk throughout the day.
- Must adhere to all company safety standards, operational procedures, and policy guidelines.
- Capable of lifting 50 lbs.
- Basic math and transaction skills.
- Specific job responsibilities are included as guidelines and can be expanded to include other duties as needed at the discretion of Green View managers at any time.
Position Specific Requirements
- Greet and assist customers with locating plants, supplies, and seasonal merchandise.
- Answer basic plant care questions and direct customers to knowledgeable staff as needed.
- Maintain a friendly, helpful, and service-oriented demeanor at all times.
- Ring up customer purchases using the POS system with guidance or supervision.
- Handle simple transactions, including cash and card payments.
- Direct customers to appropriate staff for complex transactions or returns.
- Load customer purchases into vehicles carefully and efficiently.
- Restock plants and materials such as mulch, soil, and pottery.
- Water plants, remove debris, and report signs of pests or stress.
- Maintain cleanliness in work areas and operate tools safely.
- Support greenhouse, tree lot, and nursery areas as needed.
