JOB SUMMARY

The Safety and Security Administrator is responsible for upholding industry safety standards throughout the organization and overseeing all facets of security. Ensures the organization maintains the highest standards in accordance with TCEQ regulations. Conducts routine inspections of personnel, crews and locations ensuring all company safety procedures and security measures are being enforced.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

· Initiates and conducts job site surveys and safety risk assessments; conducts overall safety analysis for all facilities and future projects within the district.

· Develops appropriate safety measures, recommends corrective action, and checks the implementation measure to reduce accidents within the organization.

· Checks plans and specifications of proposed modifications, repairs or new construction to existing and new facilities/infrastructure ensuring we remain within all safety standards.

· Conducts internal investigations and submits appropriate reports for all work-related injuries; processes reports with the appropriate departments for all claims.

· Collects and analyzes data pertaining to job site, vehicle and on-duty accidents/injuries for use in trend identification and potential safety brief topics.

· Conducts quarterly safety briefs on pertinent topics to the current operating environment.

· Develops and implements the company wide security (physical, document and personal) program for all locations ensuring we are within TCEQ and all regulatory standards.

· Conducts routine security inspections to ensure all security measures are working properly and have not been damaged/degraded as a result of the frequent use by employees, contractors and other authorized personnel.

· Conducts annual reviews and assessments of current security measures for all facilities; budgets and implements upgrades as necessary.

· Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION/ CERTIFICATIONS

· College Degree (Associates or Bachelors Preferred)

· Minimum of 5 years of safety experience

· Completed the Certified Safety and Health Official (Preferred)

· Recommended: Completed OSHA 501 and OSHA 511 (Preferred)

· Valid Class "C" Texas Driver's License.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

· Read, legibly write and accurately interpret complex technical material (such as Safety Data Sheets); read such written material in small print.

· Employ sound judgment; think coherently and logically; and employ deductive and inductive reasoning.

· Employ and demonstrate advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.

· Must demonstrate excellent oral, written, and verbal communication skills.

· Operate a motor vehicle.

· Must possess ability to work well in a team environment and as an individual.

· Ability to meet work schedules is essential.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

· General physical requirements include frequent lifting loads up to 50 pounds.

· Subject to sitting, standing, and walking for long periods of time.

· Requires visual acuity, speech, and hearing. Working conditions include all various of weather in order to be engaged with operations.

· Working conditions range from the office to field locations that can be wet/muddy with exposure to inclement weather; mechanical, electrical and confined space hazard; excessive noise and heavy traffic; exposure to animals, insects, and poisonous snakes.

· May operate a company or personal vehicle to conduct field visits.

· Required to work hours other than regular schedules

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
