What are the responsibilities and job description for the Upper Elementary Montessori Guide position at Green Valley School?
Green Valley School is a small, private Montessori school located on a 3-acre campus in Pembroke, NH. We are looking for a curious, thoughtful, enthusiastic person to guide our fourth through sixth graders in our Upper Elementary classroom. The opening for a Lead Teacher is immediate and the right candidate will continue next year. You will be partnering with another teacher to guide a class of approximately 20-25 students.
Montessori certification (or one in progress) from a MACTE accredited program is preferred, but not required. We will also consider applicants holding a BA/BS degree with teaching or other experience working with elementary aged children in a group setting. The ideal candidate will have a passionate interest in working with students in a Montessori environment that encourages independence, creativity, respect for others, and life-long learning. We require all our staff members to pass a criminal background check and CPR/First Aid certification will be required after hiring.
