Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Crew Leader to oversee individual jobs and tree care operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tree care, at least 3 years climbing experience including proper tree pruning and removal, along with proven leadership skills. This role is essential in ensuring that our projects are completed safely, efficiently and to the highest standards while fostering a positive work environment. ISA Certified Arborist preferred.
Duties
- Supervise and lead a team of arboriculture workers in various projects, ensuring tasks are completed safely and effectively.
- Plan and execute tree pruning, removal, and safe operation of equipment related to tree care.
- Possesses equipment operation experience including driving/ backing trailers, bucket truck operation, skid steer operation, wood chipper operation.
- Provide training and guidance to team members on best practices in tree care procedures and safety standards.
- Monitor the quality of work performed by the crew to ensure compliance with company standards.
- Maintain equipment and tools to ensure they are in good working condition for daily operations.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide exceptional customer service.
- Assist in the scheduling of work assignments and manage daily operations of the crew.
Experience
- ISA Certified Arborist preferred.
- At least 3 years climbing experience with a focus on tree removal and pruning.
- Proven leadership experience, including supervising teams and managing projects.
- Strong knowledge of current arboriculture and safety standards set by ISA and OSHA.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with team members and clients.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining a positive attitude.
