Position Overview
Green Tree Country Club is seeking an energetic, hospitality-driven Seasonal Pool Café Manager to lead all food and beverage operations at our Pool Café during the high-volume summer season. This role is responsible for delivering a safe, efficient, and member-focused experience while maintaining strong financial controls, team leadership, and operational excellence.
Our pool is a centerpiece of family activity at the Club. The ideal candidate understands that the Pool Café is not just a concession stand — it is a revenue center, a brand touchpoint, and a key driver of family engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
- Build weekly schedules aligned with projected volume and labor targets
- Provide hands-on coaching to ensure high service standards
- Lead daily pre-shift meetings to set expectations and drive performance
- Maintain accountability and morale in a fast-paced environment
Member Experience
- Deliver prompt, friendly, and professional service to members and guests
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming café environment
- Monitor service times and food quality during peak periods
- Proactively engage families to enhance the pool experience
Financial & Operational Management
- Manage daily sales, labor, and cost controls
- Monitor prime cost (labor cost of goods) to meet budget targets
- Conduct weekly inventory and ordering to control waste and shrinkage
- Ensure accurate POS use and proper cash handling procedures
- Execute upselling initiatives and seasonal promotions
Food Safety & Compliance
- Enforce all health department and food safety standards
- Ensure ServSafe compliance and proper food handling procedures
- Maintain clean equipment, storage areas, and service stations
- Coordinate with Culinary team for product quality and consistency
Programming & Revenue Growth
- Assist with themed pool events, family nights, and holiday programming
- Implement beverage features, grab-and-go options, and specialty promotions
- Support creative initiatives that increase member participation and spend per visit
Qualifications
- Minimum 2–3 years of food & beverage supervisory experience
- High-volume, fast-paced environment experience preferred
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Working knowledge of POS systems and inventory controls
- Food safety certification (or ability to obtain prior to season start)
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays during peak season
Preferred Experience
- Bartending experience preferred
- Experience supervising high school or college-aged seasonal staff
